Uniforms
There are two uniforms required for participation with the Livingston Pathfinder Club. There is a Dress Uniform that is standard across all Pathfinder Clubs Worldwide, and there is a local field uniform. Uniforms are to be worn at all club meetings unless previously advised. The required uniform will be advised in advance. Refer below for full details of the required uniforms.
Dress Uniform: To be worn on some Club Nights, Camporee, Investiture, Rally Day, Parades
As the Pathfinder grows uniforms can be exchanged for a larger size. Measurements and uniform requirements will be taken on Registration Night. A Uniform list is provided. The Club may have some Green skirts and trousers. We also have some shirts available. The Livingston insignia is supplied by the club as part of the membership fee. All other components of the uniform can be obtained from the ABC at Gosnells.
Hats are sandtone Akubras, wide brimmed and functional for sun protection. They will be hired from the club for $5 per year (included in the membership fee), but will be kept in the club storage before and after use. Each Pathfinder will be fitted with a hat which will be named for their use for the year.
Field Uniform: Polo shirt $30.00
To be worn on Pathfinder Club Nights, Club and Unit camps and community based Club activities. Field uniforms – Livingston club Polo shirt and blue jeans/shorts. The shirts can be purchased from the club. Jeans should be kept relatively simple in decoration and not be tatty. Be proud of what you represent.
Equipment:
An equipment list is included in the registration pack and on the resources page. Please contact your Unit Leaders for advice on equipment required for Pathfinders and where it can be purchased. Camping equipment is like most things you can get cheap and expensive equipment. Remember that this is an investment not only for a number of years but also in your pathfinders comfort and enjoyment whilst camping. Feel free to talk to the leaders about what works and what is required.
